Welcome to make Scotland better. Anyone with energy, enthusiasm and a reasonably well thought out idea is welcome to forward a submission for publication. All potential submissions will be checked by the owner of the blog, but any submission remains at the the risk of the author. Submissions will typically be from 200 to 1000 words maximum and should be clear and largely practical and include some supporting evidence, but we do not seek strict academic rigour in the first place. What we don’t seek is “pre-emptive” claims coupled with inflationary language. You know the sort of thing; “The crisis in xyz (unsupported by evidence), is all the fault of the Britnats, Cybernats, Tories, red Tories, Separatists etc. For example if you assert there is a “housing/climate/ employment/health” crisis”, please tell us something in support of this. Problems must be defined and quantified before proportionate solutions can be posited. In general, this blog will contain articles and practical suggestions aimed at improving the Scottish economy, and whilst there are arguments that sexual and racial policies can be drivers of economic changes discussions on these matters are best discussed in other places. Beyond this, “fact checking” will not be extensive. It is hoped that refinement of any promising initiatives can be made through comments. Anyway, let’s see how we go. This blog and its usefulness as a resource for ideas for economic improvement will depend exclusively on the content. I look forward to reading your submissions.
